A taxi you don't want to leave would be a sign of great service - a taxi you can't leave is another story.
Whangarei firefighters were called to the Whangarei Hospital entrance to free an elderly woman from an A1 Cabs taxi about 5.15pm on Sunday after her foot became stuck in the seat.
Fire communications spokesperson Colin Underdown said the woman's foot had become trapped in the seat mechanism. Firefighters had to free the woman using hydraulic cutting equipment.
He was unsure what, if any, injuries the woman suffered
